Our mission
The Haberfield Public School Parents and Citizens Association exists to support the education and wellbeing of the children of Haberfield Public School. We raise funds through community events and initiatives across the year, and direct those funds back into the school — to classroom resources, playground and facility improvements, music and arts programs, and community-building activities.
What we fund
The P&C contributes to areas the school's regular budget cannot fully cover, including:
- Classroom upgrades and learning resources
- Playground and outdoor equipment (including shade sails and seating)
- Music, arts and library programs
- Student events such as the Year 6 dinner
- Discretionary "Fast Grants" for teacher-led classroom projects
How we're governed
The P&C is an incorporated association run by an elected committee, made up of parents and community members. Office-bearer roles — President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer — are elected annually at the Annual General Meeting.
Ordinary General Meetings are held twice a term (in weeks 3 and 8), with the Annual General Meeting in November or December. All parents and carers are welcome to attend and to join as members.
