Become a member

Membership is free and open to any parent, carer, teacher or community member with an interest in supporting Haberfield Public School. Members can attend meetings, vote on motions, stand for committee roles and propose initiatives.

To join, sign up online for 2026, or come along to a meeting and complete a short membership form.

2

Volunteer at an event

Most of our fundraising happens through community events. We always need extra hands — and you don't need experience.

3

Join the committee

Committee roles are elected annually at the AGM (held in November or December). Roles include President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and ordinary committee members, plus sub-committees for specific events.

If you're considering a role, come to a meeting first to get a feel for it, or get in touch and we'll happily talk you through what's involved.

Meeting times

Ordinary General Meetings are held twice a term — in weeks 3 and 8 — typically on a Tuesday evening at 7 pm in the school staffroom, with a Zoom option available. Dates and agendas are emailed to members ahead of each meeting and posted on the school's communication channels.
